Are you surprised?

Yes.

Legolas has a very beautiful face. Okay, so he looks better with his curly brown hair /chocolate brown eyes, but as Leggy, he has that perfect groomed blonde hair that most girls [and guys, i expect!] would die for. Haha. And those contacts, sea blue green grey. And he always looks surprised, therefore looks quite sadly naive. Sweet.

Please don't go away. No one's ever stuck with me for so long before. And if you leave... I just, I remember things better with you. It's there, I know it is, because when I look at you, I can feel it. And-and I look at you..and I'm home. Please... I don't want that to go away. - Dory

Considering he is an elf and is therefore very old, I'm not sure naive is a very good look. I do think he's alright, but not SUCH a good actor as everyone else. Still good though.

*give Leggy a hug so he doesn't feel deprived*

It's a shame really because I would say he is the only weak point in what is otherwise excellent casting. Apologies to all Leggy fans, and please don't lynch me!

You're right. But he did good for his first film. And he certainly had the elegance and poise and beauty of the elf. And he had sortof the aura of an elf- apart from sometimes he seemed young. He had the appearance well. But he was slightly melodramatic. But Galadriel, she was great. She seemed old yet also young, beautiful yet also scary, she was elegant and just so elvish. I also thought Haldir was a great elf. Hmm..who else is an elf. Celeborn..we do not really see him that much at all. Arwen- well, she did look like an elf, fair and the dark hair like Arwen is supposed to have, I thought, but she didnt seem completely elf like, not like Galadriel. I dont know why. Also, her voice annoyed me in some points. A lot. Elrond, I thought he was a great elf. He had the looks and he looked so wise and old, but not old as in aged, but old as in experienced. I thought he also spoke well, as an elf, and portrayed the elf like qualities very well.

Yes, I agree that he was good for his first film, and he did seem... elf-like. Definitely the best two elves were Galadriel and Elrond. They both seemed so wise and sad and noble. You really could believe that they had been on Middle-earth for aeons. Haldir was also good, given the fact that his part was greatly expanded. I actually quite liked Arwen. She had a rather detached air at times, yes, but she was very, well, noble again. there was something more human maybe about her, which I guess was appropriate given the fact that she was giving up her immortality. Plus I adored her dresses!

Oh, her dresses were beautiful. It would be amazing to live in such an age where people could go around in such clothes.

Yeah, I know the feeling Linwe!

Does anyone else find the part after the Pelennor Fields when Eomer finds Eowyn so upsetting. That scream of almost animal grief really gets to me - how much he must love his sister, and then to find her dead, seemingly...! Oh, and the bit with Merry and Pippin by the oliphaunt: 'Are you going to bury me?' 'No Merry, I'm going to look after you.' Ohh, I'm such a softy! :-[
