Ah, the Two Towers. Such a beautiful book.
The chapter The Palantir, was one of my favourites. I found Aragorn's courage fascinating, and the characters in that chapter, if I remember correctly, were some of my favourites. Taming of Smeagol- Gollum! You don't have to ask why I liked these Gollum-y chapters! A window on the west- I adored Farimir's character, and everything he talked about.

A Window on the West was brilliant. First the description of the actual Window was so beautiful, so that you actually felt like you could be standing right there. And then Faramir's character was so complex and intriuging, especially when he is questioning the hobbits. In additon (oops, English essay approaching) the part when he nearly shoots Gollum shows another side to him: his true, compassionate self. But maybe I just like Faramir.
